New Years Resolutions...

I cant believe that another year has flown by. This year I am making some resolutions. I haven't made any resolutions on New Years for the last few years, partly b/c to much stuff was going on and partly b/c I never thought that resolutions made on New Years lasted much past the hangover from the night before. But since my parting like a rock star days have been gone for a while now, I have decided to make some resolutions that will stick!!
I am hoping if I put it out there and know that all of you are reading this then I will have to stick to my guns so here goes.
I am going take care of myself much better than I have been, this includes eating healthy, getting my ass onto the eliptical that has been gathering dust in our basement. Shane and I are making the workout commitment together, we are both going to get buff and motivate each other. I am going to the dentist, and the eye doctor both of which have been put off way too long. I am getting my hair done and last but not least I am getting my birthday massage that is now almost 4 months overdue!!
My other resolution is one that is joint with Shane, we are making a commitment to go out on dates at least once a month and spend time together one on one! We got a bunch of gift cards for dinners and we are going to use them, and have much fun doing so! Im looking forward to this year, I think it will be a year of many blessings. Cheers to 2008!

Laid Back

Today I planned to get caught up on all of my 20 pounds of laundry and clean the house, which by the way, is a complete disaster!! I got as far as 2 loads of laundry done and a bit of cleaning. My babies led my plans astray. We ended up playing with xmas toys and just relaxing after many days of having a full plate.

Thats right, he's finally motoring around! He's getting pretty darn fast too. I set him down and look up a few minutes later to find him heading for Bubba's water bowl, Drew's new favorite destination!! He started right around Yule!

Christmas morning was a blast, Morgan was so excited! Drew loved it to but his main fun was trying to eat the wrapping paper! This year my mom and Mary spent the night so they could be there when the kiddos woke up, and my dad made the trek over for some early morning fun!!

Bye Bye Tumble Tykes Morgan's movin up!

Today was the last day for Morgans 2nd Tumble Tykes session in gym class, they had a fun time and got a green ribbon at the end. They had a cute little cermony where the kiddos walked up got their ribbon and did a forward roll off the matt, instead of rolling Morgan ran ...imagine that! She moves up to the next level now...Tumble Bears, no parents!

Preped for class

Morgan is so ready for her next class, she put on her leotard and slippers and danced around the kitchen. Thought I would share the pics! She told me class was fun but she was a little scared because she was alone. So I told her new things can be scary but also fun. I asked if she wanted to try again and she was all for it so hope it goes well tomorrow. They are having a little Christmas party so that seemed to entice her into trying again!

Morgans 1st dance class

Morgan had her 1st dance class yesterday at Judy Dollenmeyer's in Gahanna. for those of you who dont know my sister and I took dance classes from her for years! My mom went with me to sign her up and she said it was like Dejavu for her. Miss Judy looked to same to me and still so sweet! She remembered my mom and I and then said dont you have a sister too? My mom says yes, Mary the little one who carried her smurf with her onstage for her dance recital, Miss judy totally remembered. So since we are considered alumni we didnt have to pay the registration fee, pretty cool! Morgan was just so excited to be there. My friend Susans daughter Maria dances there and was there when we arrived. She introduced Morgan to all the Big girls and Morgan got such a big kick out of that!! Then she got to go to class, she did so well for her 1st time of not having me in the room! She really loved it and has been talked and about it and wearing her tap shoes since! Will post some pics soon.

Then we were off to with my mom to get her tree and so some decorating. We had a great time, got the tree up and
Morgan and Grandma built a snow man. We had a fun day!

1st snow

Morgan was so excited to wake up and see the snow, she coudnt wait to get outside! She ran downstairs and ran right out the backdoor into the snow. So after the 3rd time of running out in her jammies, and once the sun was up, I popped her into her snowsuit and out she went! Later on im going to take Drew out for his 1st snow fun!
