Brutus is really Charlie Brown!
We found Charlie Browns family!! Which is wonderful, he was getting to quite a handful. He was really hard to walk with the kids and he kept trying to hump me and everything else!! So they posted something on the pounds website and we saw it and called.
Luckily he came from a good home with kids. And she said they were going to fix him which would be really good for him!!
We are glad he came for a little while he was funny and helped distract the kids from missing Bubba for a bit. Wish we could have him back though.

Ready for Spring!
I always think the part of Feb. is so slow. The other day when Brutus dragged me to the vet I noticed a little tiny bit of green from the Lilly's in front of the office. YEah! But we still have a long way to go until its really nice which is usually Shane's b-day the beginning of May. At least we will have some green before then. The kids are dying to get back to going to the park all the time and playing outside. Morgan was so ready that she got all her spring/summer clothes out if the closet yesterday and tried to put them all in her dresser, taking the winter ones out. Forget that its 40 and raining she's ready for her little sundress! I wonder if we will have one last snow? I hope we are done. Last year we had that Blizzard at the 1st of March, hope that doesnt repeat.

Shane starts his job!
Brutus
Originally I got Bubba from my Aunt Darlene. She rescued him from an abuse situation, I also got my cat Zoe from her. When Zoe was a kitten she ended up in my Aunt garage. Both times we took them in and were really glad we did. Well the funny thing is my aunt came to see me after Bubba passed and she went home after our visit and there was this chocolate lab sitting on her from doorstep with no collar. She gave him water but he ended up running around her neighborhood. She was worried he was going to get hit by a car so she ended up driving around until she found him and some kids were throwing things at him! She got him back in to the car and called me. We had no idea he was so big! She didnt have anywhere to keep him so we brought him to our house. We thought we might be able to find his family but no luck, even checked to see if he was chipped but he wasnt. So it looks like we have a new 75 pounds of clumsy huge dog. He is really cute and the kids love him but he is going to take some training the vet said he is a year old and in great shape. I wasnt ready for a new dog, still missing my bubba but he is sweet and we didnt have the heart to take him to the pound. But he is a lot to handle so I guess we will see how it goes.Heres some pics and a picture of the new dog, "Brutus"

Bubba
Bubba passed away yesterday. We are very sad and we are going to miss him bunches, but we know it was for the better. My friend Rowynn wrote about him so I thought I would share.
In Honor of Bubba
I have to say that I will really miss Bubba! Or Snubba, or Snubba Bubba, or Bubbie. I had the priveledge of knowing him for twelve of his thirteen years, which was a gift in and of itself. Not only was Bubba an old soul and an awesome four legged, he was a friend. When I first met him, he was just a puppy still, and full of puppy energy and orneriness! I used to go home with Cyn to her apartment only to find that he had eaten a couch or some clothing. We would always take him to the BG football field to get his ya yas out. I have never known another dog who could run and run and run like Bubba! We would often then treat him to bits of taco bell bean burritos, since we were poor and that was all we could afford. Bubba was more than loyal, surviving many a move with Cyn...at least seven I can think of right off the top of my head. He also supported her through different relationships and the ups and downs of life. Bubba knew the parks and walking paths of Clintonville by heart. He knew exactly how to escape Ginger's invisible fence. He loved to chase squirrels and birds and play with Skylar at Lobdell. More than anything, Bubba was a lover who always let you know how important he thought you were the minute you came to his door. Many a manic "I love you!" would be lavished upon a guest in the form of Bubba cries and moans of joy. I always loved that you had to affirm him and return the love or he would be beside himself! Bubba loved his crab toy above all others, cherishing it until the day he could take no more and would succumb to the need to shred it. He would love on you and cheer you up when you were down. Another of my favorite Bubbaisms was his need for space on the couch. Do not under any circumstances touch the feet when resting. I can so relate! I hate when my feet get touched and Bubba would have none of it! When the kids came along he transitioned into his new role as family dog, and did so brilliantly! He was patient and tolerant and an expert at getting food from little hands. These are just a few of my favorite Bubba memories. He was one of a kind, a true friend and I will miss him! I'm so glad I got to see you and say goodbye, thank you for sharing some of yourself with me Bubba. I know I'll see you 'round, but I will miss you just the same, and always love you!

Happy New Year!!!
Welcome 2009! I am so ready for a fresh start to a new year. Things have been really busy the last few months. Shane has been interviewing and we think he may be getting a position with Principal Financial so keep your fingers crossed. We had a great Yule and Christmas. Here are some pics of the kiddos.
